Date: January 31, 2015 - February 1, 2015
Event Description:
An auditorium at the Woodstock Theatre will be dedicated in honor of Writer/Director Harold Ramis at 10 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2015, immediately prior to the showing of "Groundhog Day." Admission is FREE.

The 1993 film, which was directed by Ramis, will be shown at 10 AM on Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1, 2015, at the Woodstock Theatre, 209 Main Street, in downtown Woodstock, as part of Woodstock's annual Groundhog Days festivities. A plaque will be placed outside the entrance to Auditorium 1, and a framed letter written by Ramis, who passed away in early 2014, will be placed in theatre lobby near an original poster for the film, autographed by script co-writer Danny Rubin.

"Groundhog Day" (PG/102 min) follows a television weatherman (Bill Murray) who gets caught in an endless loop of the same day repeating endlessly. He falls in love with the beautiful producer, (Andie McDowell), and wonders if the day will ever end. Groundhog Days is a Woodstock citywide festival celebrating the fantastical film "Groundhog Day," which features many locations in the community of Woodstock including the Woodstock Theatre.
